Brad Pitt has been the focus of press attention since it was revealed that Angelina Jolie has applied for divorce.
He narrated director Terrence Malick's epic documentary Voyage of Time, about the birth of the Universe.
He said he did not want his presence at the California Science Centre Imax Theatre in Los Angeles on Wednesday to "distract attention" from the film.

"Terrence's Voyage of Time is an unbelievably wonderful and one of a kind experiential IMAX film for youngsters and families chronicling the introduction of time," he said in an announcement. "I'm exceptionally thankful to be a piece of such an entrancing and instructive venture, however I’m presently centered around my family circumstance and don’t need to occupy consideration far from this unprecedented film, which I urge everybody to see." 

Pitt serves as the storyteller of the narrative. 

Jolie, 41, petitioned for separation from Pitt, 52, in a Los Angeles court Sept. 19, expressing that she isolated from the Allied star on Sept. 15 – only one day after the couple and child Maddox, 15, were included in an affirmed quarrel on board their private plane.

The on-screen character asked for sole guardianship of their six kids: Maddox, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and 8-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
Jolie, 41, has petitioned for separation refering to hostile contrasts and requested physical authority of their six youngsters. 

Brad pitt and Angelina  Jolie wedded in 2014 following 10 years together. Jolie's attorney Robert Offer said the performer had petitioned for the disintegration of the marriage "for the wellbeing of the family".
