Justin Theroux has stood up about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's part.
"As an offspring of separation, everything I can say is that is ghastly news for those youngsters and that is whatever you can truly say," the 45-year-old Leftovers on-screen character told Business Insider Monday amid a press visit for his new film The Girl on the Train, out Oct. 7.
Theroux's significant other, Jennifer Aniston, was hitched to Pitt for a long time before their separation in 2005.
Pitt, 52, and Jolie, 41 – who wedded in 2014 following 10 years of dating – have six kids together: Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and 8-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
"It's exhausting to kind of remark on whatever else," Theroux included. "Individuals are having a terrible time. That is terrible."

"As a child of divorce, all I can say is that's terrible news for those children, and that's all you can really say. It's boring to sort of comment on anything else. People are having a bad time — that's horrible," he said.
Jolie filed for divorce on Sept. 19 and is requesting physical custody of the children.
"This decision was made for the health of the family. She will not be commenting at this time, and asks that the family be given their privacy during this difficult time,"
But Theroux, who doesn't have many ties to Pitt or Jolie, also spoke about their six kids and what they must be experiencing.
"There's an unending craving for garbage, evidently – however everybody would say that they don't have that hankering," he clarified. "Yet, I think many individuals do in light of the fact that individuals purchase it.
Theroux proceeded: "Yet there are greater things to bitch about. It's stunning how much data transfer capacity things can take up when there are significantly more critical things going ahead on the planet."
